Why is it good to have a routine?

Some of us let our emotions lead our day while many of us properly plan things. Most of us have a regular schedule for completing tasks. But there is common thinking that is associated with routines and, it is that they make life dull and boring when in reality they make our life more organized and help us complete necessary work on time.

At first, it may seem challenging to stick to a schedule but after some time, you will notice how it positively impacts your life.

It proves beneficial in many ways.

  1. EFFICIENT USE OF TIME AND ENERGY. You spend less time procrastinating and get chores done right away. You also get a lot of free time for your hobbies and other activities.

  2. PROFICIENCY IN TASKS. When you spend regular hours on a task, you become skilled in it. In this way, routine helps you in improving your abilities.

  3. IMPROVEMENT IN MENTAL HEALTH. A routine helps in reducing stress as you get chores done right away.

  4. INCREASES HAPPINESS. When you start dedicating the right amount of time towards your goals and spend less time sitting idle, You start experiencing less negative emotions such as anger, sadness, frustration, etc.

Do not plan every aspect of your day. It can make life monotonous. Instead, create a timetable that helps you in accomplishing a goal. Take breaks in between so you can learn and enjoy new things also.
